Just a couple of plugs

We are pleased, and honored, to have had our images recently showcased on a couple of websites and magazines.

You can check out Rachel and Ephraim’s kiss on the LAtimes.

Their wedding photos were also chosen as the Editor’s Pick in a competition on theKnot .

TheKnot staff also just let us know they will be featuring our photos in an upcoming issue, so keep an eye out and your fingers crossed!

Last but not the least, thanks to Sharon at Organic Elements, our photo of one of her gorgeous centerpieces made it into the Summer issue of Bride and Bloom magazine.

The best advertising comes from happy clients and vendors, we say!

Marky’s Third Birthday

Filed under : Personal by Ben and Kirin on 17-05-2008

My sister decided, for her son’s third birthday, that they would take him to a Disneyland/California Adventures weekend. They stayed up there for three days and tried to catch as much of both parks as they could. Well, it turns out that Marky liked the hotel room much more that the parks, but they did manage to see and enjoy some of Mickey’s place nevertheless. (You might remember a family portrait session we did of my sister’s family last year.)

Kirin, myself and my parents drove up there on the Saturday and toured California Adventures with Marky et al. Here are some photos of our adventure…

Some Experimenting

There’s something about an old photograph that’s poignant and solemn. Older photos carry with them more “heft”; they seem to be loaded with more meaning. I’ve been playing a lot with a bunch of textures and post-processing effects to take certain photos and give them an aged, “vintage” look. It’s somewhat of a fad at the moment, but I have to admit that it’s a look that I’m very attracted to.

Anyway, here are a few photos from recent shoots that I’ve worked on.

This first one is of our friend Sheila from her recent wedding. I had her quickly sit and strike an old fashioned pose knowing that I wanted to change the photo in post-processing.
